The Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula will tomorrow visit Soweto to inspect safety measures aimed at preventing the spread of the Corona Virus on Rea Vaya buses & stations.
The Minister will assess the Bus Rapid Transit System’s adherence to lockdown regulations as they pertain to social distancing, wearing of masks and disinfection of buses and stations.
It comes as President Cyril Ramaphosa pronounced a gradual opening of the economy.
Rea Vaya buses ferry essential workers, for this reason, the Minister of Transport must ensure that South Africa’s workforce commutes safely.
